Fans of The Block have slammed host Scott Cam and the show's producers for severely penalising Omar and Oz for breaking a rule other contestants have gotten away with.

The Western Sydney mates scored a heavily discounted piano under the limit of 50 per cent of the retail value, leading to their disqualification from Living and Dining Room Week.

Viewers were quick to point out that Ankur and Sharon went unpunished when they bargained an $800 antique mirror down to $100 which won them $12,000.

Someone else wrote: 'A few seasons ago, didn’t the netball couple get in trouble for more than 50% discount? They just had to pay the difference not get disqualified.'

'This is ridiculous. Omar told the camera about the discount DAYS ago! They could’ve warned him about the rule he
