David Campbell finds it hard to be a disciplinarian figure with his three-year-old twins William and Elizabeth.
In a column for The Sunday Telegraph, the Today Extra host, 45, said the issue resulted in arguments and differences of opinion with his wife, Lisa.
'Duck and cover is useless and so you and your partner end up bickering, losing your cool, and eventually huddling together in bed in combat helmets,' he wrote.

David described a time that he'd returned home from a particularly busy day, and struggled to cope with his energetic kids.
He joked that it was this day, of all days, that his children had chosen to work against him and deny him any peace and quiet.
'Terrible twos with twins is not pretty but nothing can prepare you for this. This is an attack on all you hold dear, orchestrated by two little people,' he added in jest.
But when it comes down to actually disciplining his pride and joy, all their indiscretions and misdemeanours vanish from his memory.
