Chris Smalling has been a roaring success in his loan spell at Roma so far this season... but the England defender was involved in the most bizarre handball incident of the campaign on Sunday.

Roma's clash against Torino was one to forget for both Smalling and the rest of his team, as they were on the end of a 2-0 defeat thanks to a double from Andrea Belotti.

The Torino stalwart netted his first in first-half stoppage time, and Smalling's extraordinary handball prompted the second goal with just four minutes left to play.
