Thousands of homeowners across the country are unable to sell up because building owners are refusing to replace Grenfell-style cladding.
The government has said that building owners have a 'moral responsibility' to pay for the cladding to be stripped off but many homeowners are struggling to find who should take responsibility for the costs.
Leaseholders are now facing financial ruin as they may be left hundreds of thousands of pounds out of pocket after being hit with bills of up to £20,000 for 24-hour fire warden patrols around buildings.
Property values on buildings with cladding have also dropped in price dramatically, leaving owners unable to sell.

Just nine private blocks with leasehold homes have had the cladding stripped in the past year.
