Sheridan Smith, 38, caused concern amongst her fans today as she revealed she was “on vocal rest”. The actress, who is currently starring in a West End production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, opened up about a health issue she was suffering from in view of her 673,000 Twitter followers. Sheridan wrote: “So I’ve lost my voice due to laryngitis and not sure when it will be back. “So sorry to car fest where I am meant to be gigging today and just hope it comes back so I can finish Joseph.”

The star apologised once again as she added: “On vocal rest for now until it gets better so sorry guys.”
Fans took to the comments section to share their get well wishes with Sheridan.
One person wrote: “Oh no, so close to the end of Joseph. You've been amazing, get well soon.”
Another fan added: “There's nothing worse than being too poorly to perform in a show that you have worked so hard on. Rest up, there's only one of you x.”
“I saw you last night in Joseph you were incredible! So sorry you have been struck down with laryngitis hope you make a speedy recovery,” a third person commented.
Sheridan has received impressive reviews for her performances in the show, which she stars in alongside Jason Donovan and Jac Yarrow at the London Palladium.
